MISSION
The
Waikalua Loko Fishpond Preservation Society (WLFPS)
was founded in June 1995 to manage and implement a
preservation plan.

To
preserve, stabilize and beautify the Waikalua
Loko Fishpond;

2.

To
educate the Windward (O'ahu) Community about
ancient Hawaiian and modern Hawaiian fishpond
practices;

3. |
To provide an educational resource to be made
available for use by educational institutions
or community organizations with respect to ancient
and modern Hawaiian fishpond practices.

The
Waikalua Loko Fishpond Preservation Society (WLFPS)
was conceived by Bayview Golf Park,
formerly Pacific Atlas (Hawaii), Inc., which is
the fee owner of the pond and surrounding property.
Waikalua Loko Fishpond Preservation Society (WLFPS)
received its IRS 501c#3
non-profit corporation status in August, 1998 and
State of Hawaii exemption in 1999.
